Xiucui Ma, PhD

I am senior scientist in Dr. Diwan’s laboratory at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. I received my Ph.D. degree (joint training with Washington University School of Medicine) from Zhejiang University which currently ranks 4th in China, and got postdoctoral training in internal medicine in Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. My interests are focusing on studying the autophagy lysosomal and mitochondria system function in cardiac physiology and pathology in the heart failure diseases. I really enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to China and around the world, playing Taijiquan and Taiji Fan, playing tennis, listening to popular music and reading literary novels.
